Report of Findings - Your Personalized Map!
After the assessments have been completed and the health care professionals involved with your child's care have completed their reports, an integrated Report of Findings is generated. This report will list the results of the initial evaluations and where your child's abilities and brain function align within standardized norms and milestones. This report allows you to see the 'road map' to your child's brain and subsequent functioning abilities. Of even greater importance this report offers recommendations of how to overcome most of the deficiencies, disabilities, or developmental delays. It is during this appointment that each individual (parent, child, health care provider) will have an opportunity to discuss the results, ask questions, and have input into the resultant program. The report contains a detail account of the finding obtained through the various tests and assessments. You will actually see your child's brain and its ability to function, or in many cases where it has led to the inability to function appropriately. We discuss with you how this brain-based functioning may be impacting your child's academic success, social skills, emotional interactions, communication abilities, language skills, and ultimately the child's behavior within the many and varied environments of home, school, and play.
Recommended remediation programs are discussed at this time. As a team, we will discuss the tests results and what each test means to your child. This discussion forum allows you to ask questions and/or voice additional concerns. All questions are valid, especially with regard to your child and his or her welfare. We believe it is through open communication and honest dialog that the greatest results for your child will be achieved. It will take commitment from parents, the child, and any other health care provider who interacts with the child to ensure the greatest success and optimum results.
At the conclusion of this appointment, we will discuss your child's individualized program which has been developed by our team of experts to address your child's specific needs.
